The NZ Falcon, Falco novaseelandiae, KareareaMaori, has feathered leg coverings, and never having one in the hand, I'm reduced to photos. I'd estimate the exposed portion of the leg, to the base of the claws, to be about 60mm, and probably as much again inside the coverings. Yellow in the adult, and much fairer in the juvenile. There are several regional variations. Female generally larger than the male.
