Baby keets start standing on their own shortly after hatching for short periods of time (they tire easily). Since they are so small and sleep most of the time when they are really young, a person really can't see them standing on their own 2 feet unless you look closely (and can see inside the nesting box/nest). Also, with full crops, they are top-heavy and can't stand for long.
