First, it depends on how long you are post-op. Ask your surgeon.You may be at higher risk for DVT [ deep vein thrombosis ] . If you are allowed to fly, book thru a travel agent and ask for the seats at the fron of each class with more leg room to keep from having you knee flexed for the whole flight. Also get up every 20-30 min and walk a few steps to keep your circulation going. Your Doc may want you on an aspirin regimen prior to flying. Don't initiate this on your own, especially if you are or were on any blood thinners.
