Matilda, recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's oldest living chicken, died February 14 2006 at her home in Bessemer, Alabama. Matilda, 16 years old, was featured in a magic act called Mort the Mystifying and Donna. She belonged to Keith and Donna Barton of Bessemer and had appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno.
