Funnel web Spiders can't jump, in fact they prefer to keep the eight legs firmly on the ground. And while the spiders can swim, they can only survive in Swimming Pools for a few hours. They're able to survive underwater because air is trapped by tiny hairs on their abdomen and they breathe though lungs located on the undersurface of the abdomen.
The Sydney Funnel web spider is the most dangerous. the Goliath spider is not dangerousThe "Black Widow". It is an all black spider with a red hourglass shape on its underside. One bite and you will die within and hour. It injects so much venom in one bite that it can kill 6-7 adults.
Funnel Web spiders are black with a dull reddish tinge to the under legs and abdomen, they have a hard ecto skeliton and two disticnt spinnerets at the rear of the abdomen. they are about 5cm long and the fangs can be seen as they rear back to stike. the red colouring becomes more prominent in the strike position.
Actually just recently the funnel web was recorded as the worlds deadliest spider. Depends. Funnel Web spiders found in Australia can be VERY venomous but the ones found in the U.S. are relatively harmless. The first statement is false, as the Funnel-Web spider has long and is still considered to be inferior to the Brazilian Wandering spider. A Funnel-Web spider commonly can kill a human in between 40 minutes and 1 hour and 40 minutes, never less than 30 (this can vary depending on the victim's immune system level). While the Brazilian Wandering spider has been known to kill humans in 20 minutes. Funnel webs attacks can sometimes be very rare, In Australia the states that funnel webs are in are : ACT & NSW. Some doctors and nurses are still trying to find out how to cure it.
Brazilian Wandering Spider
Many tie for the most poisonous (hint, hint spelling), but the Black Widow and the Brown Recluse are probably the most deadly. If the recluse just touches you, your skin rots right of the bone. It's not nice, but I have seen it happen.

The size of a funnel web spider varies depending on the maturity of the spider. Found largely in Australia, these spiders vary from less than .5 inches to as much as two inches in size and have a bite that can be fatal to humans if untreated.

it happens, as long as it wasn't a black widow or funnel web or brown recluse, the kid will be fine. may burn or itch for a while but most spider bites are mostly harmless.
