Silky terriers live 12 to 15 years of age. They show old age signs around 12 years old. At 14 or 15 they will most likely have Arthritis. They may suffer bad teeth anywhere from eight years up. An old silky terrier shows similar signs to aging as humans do really. They may go a bit deaf. Eyes will most likely get cataracts. Their eyes may also develop a redness in the whites which requires medication from the vet to keep it under control.
