Mudskippers do not experience any ill effects in clear water. Their name is a reference to their ability to cross expanses of mud with their strong fins.
Mud Skippers are an ancient fish, of Mango Swamps. They have an Airbreathing Lung as well as Gills, and fins that are adapted for walking on land. Some Scientists have suggested, that they are a descendent of those that first came out of the sea, and walked on the land.
Unlike most fish, mudskippers spend much of their life out of the water. They range from 4 to 12 inches long and a vary in weight.

The weight of a mudskipper can vary depending on the species and size of the individual. On average, a mudskipper can weigh anywhere from a few grams to several hundred grams. Larger species of mudskippers can weigh up to a kilogram or more.
