they practice holding their breath trying to increase the time they can hold there breath, in fact david blaine recently held his breath for about 8 minutes i think. a few weeks later on ripley'd believe it or not a Russian held his for about 15 minutes. one secret how they can do this is DON'T SMOKE
I heard david blaine held his breath for much longer than that. I was told that magicians like him train themselves by inhaling huge concentrations of pure oxygen from a type of oxygen tank before entering the water. They train to be able to take that much oxygen without blacking out. Then when they get a lightheaded feeling from all the extra oxygen to the brain, when they go underwater they start feeling normal again until the breath runs out.
Subs basically bring a volume of surface air with them, so people breathe just like normal.
Old subs simply used what air they could bring with them from the surface. When that was used up, they had to resurface and ventilate the sub before they could dive again.
Newer subs can have equipment both to purify stale air and to add more oxygen onboard, so they can stay down for much longer.
All you have to do is:
1. Take a few deep breaths inhale and exhale deeply to lower your heart rate.
2. Go underwater and test this plan. If you hold your breath for more than you regularly do, that's a good sign. IF NOT, try techniques underwater, like:
1. Clenching teeth through the water and sucking in water then sucking out water.
2. Making small bubbles with your mouth whenever you need air.
When your doing this make sure you have someone looking after you, because you might be new to this, and the plan might fail.
Hope this helped! :)
It's harder to hold your breath because there's no AIR & OXYGEN and 'cause in water if you hold your breath too long you die, but if you hold your breath in the air and if you think you are holding your breath too long you can just breath instead of trying to breath in the water.
~Its a phsycology thing.
That depends on your lung capacity. The world record is 19 minutes and 21 seconds.
All people CAN hold their breath, both above and under water. Only not that long usually.
They practice and practise for so long and when they think that they're good enough they go for it. Sometimes they cheat and have an oxygen tube hidden under a mask or something like that
I'm pretty sure they can breathe for several hours underwater or at least mine does.Indefinitely. Turtles are true amphibians. They come to land to lay eggs and to sun themselves( they're cold blooded, too ).Answer:Turtles do not breathe underwater (no gills) they have to surface periodically to take a breath. Underwater they hold their breath. As reptiles their metabolism is slow enough to stretch out a lungfull of oxygen for several minutes.
Like on land just hold ur breath dive deep find ur partner and go for it... i had my first underwater kiss today and it was Amazing
I think for about 15 seconds or less...Their lung capacity is almost like that of dogs... If you trap a dog or a wolf underwater, they'll immediately start to struggle for air so, that means they can't live in there! conclusion= neither they like to get wet nor they like to hold their breath...:)
No but he can hold his breath for hoursNo lions don't hold their breath
A child can threaten to hold their breath until they die; however, they can realistically only hold their breath until they pass out.
In theory, yes. the human can hold its breath underwater for up to five minutes before suffocation or drowning sets in. However, it is hard enough to hold your breath for five minutes out of water. most people can hold their breath underwater for two or three minutes at the maximum
I will assume you are not joking. A fish does not hold it's breath it can breathe underwater using its gills.
Hippos can't "breath" underwater but they can hold their breath for long periods of time.
To do the underwater challenge in Peru, YOU HOLD YOUR BREATH UNDERWATER DUMMIES
They hold their breath.
No. Monkeys are mammals, so they have lungs, which cannot filter water. They can hold their breath underwater, though.
how does a galapagos penguin breath
How long can you hold your breath?
Myoglobin enables the marine mammals to be able to hold their breath for extended periods of time underwater. The beaver has been reported to hold its breath underwater for about 15 minutes.
As Mario is a video game character, he can hold his breath for however long you control him underwater.
you have to grow gills or eat a computer
until they die
