Although some say it takes millions, maybe billions of years, it doesn't actually take that long. From my research, I have come to the conclusion that it only takes thousands of years not millions or billions

There are various paths a rock of a certain type could take through the cycle. Not all rocks will necessarily take all the paths. A path from igneous to sedimentary to metamorphic and back to igneous would certainly take a long time, in the millions and millions of years.

The answer is that it takes thousands and million years for the rock cycle to form the rocks!

There is no fixed time for this, it depends on too many independent geological events running on different time periods.

Where do metamorphic processes take place?

Metamorphic processes or Metamorphism can takes place anywhere, be it above or below the Earths surface, as long as their is a change in the physicochemical (structural and minerological) conditions different from that under which the rocks were originally formed. And this could be as a result of adjustment of solid rocks to increased temperature, pressure and/or chemical activities (chemically active fluids).

How do rocks undergo physical change?

rocks can undergo changes in a lot of different ways either by water eroding at it wind crashing against it or something like sand blowing up against it something like that and over time the rocks will start to change because of all of the phisicall force that it is undergoing the more abbrasion and how hard and fast that it going will determine how soon the rocks will show some sort of physical change but this usually takes a very long time!

What do you use Igneous rocks for?

igneous rocks are used for blilding and for long lasting moument.

How long is the moon phases and how long does the lunar cycle last and what causes the moon phase to change phase to phase?

The lunar cycle of phases is about 29.5 days. As the moon rotates and revolves around the earth, and the earth rotates and revolves around the sun, the shadows cast by the shifting positions of the moon and earth cause the moon to wane, wax, and "disappear". This is known as the lunar cycle.

Why sedimentary rocks could not have been the first rocks on earth?

water is needed, and long periods of deposit of sediment at the bottom, to form the sedimentary rocks. A hot, molton earth could not have created such rocks.

Do rocks stay the same shape forever?

No. Weathering and erosion can change them and they can of course get damaged and crack. If they are in the sea, that can affect them. It can be a long and slow process, but rocks do change.

Is it true that the Phosphorus cycles through the environment two ways by a short-term cycle involving organisms and by a long-term cycle involving rocks?

True is the final answer

When does the rock cycle end?

Indeed. That is why it is called a cycle. Rocks do not stay as they are but are continually forced to change as a result of changes in their environment. It may take a relatively short time period or a very long time to change from one form into the next -- even eons -- but eventually it happens. If we could watch the vastness of geological time speeded up to seconds and minutes, we would see large mountains rising and disappearing and even continents whirling and splitting and rejoining each other like mere clouds on a windy day.

What can be the reason if the period starts after about 20 days from the last period?

You could just have a shorter cycle. Some women have a long cycle(over 28days) and some have shorter ones.

How many weeks pregnant are you if you three days late from your period?

4 weeks and 3 days as long as you have a normal 28 day menstrual cycle. It could be less if you have an irregular ovulation cycle.

Why is the menstrual cycle called a cycle?

A menstrual cycle is broken down into a follicular phase, ovulation and a luteal phase. These occur in that order (as long as everything is working normally) and make up the "cycle". I guess they call it a cycle because you just keep going round and round and unless you get pregnant or have something happen (i.e birthcontrol) to change this, it will just keep cycling.
