France lost nearly 700,000 men over a few miles of land while fighting the Napoleonic Wars in France and Great Britain. They were fighting under Napoleon Bonaparte over a stretch of land that was only a mile wide and about seven miles long.
While the French Revolution brought many political changes and democracy to France, it took many years for France's democracy to stabilize. This is because after overthrowing the king, Napoleon Bonaparte took control of the government. Napoleon was still only one man in power and the French government had to make agreements to balance the power amongst different levels of the government. However, with the French Revolution happening, it also opened up threats from other neighboring countries so the French were forced to defend their lands even with a weakened government.
This was the battlecry of the French armies under the Emperor Napoleon during the Napoleonic wars. It means Long live (Vive) the Emperor (L'Empereur) which was Napoleon Bonaparte.
He was the First Consul of France from 12 December 1799 until 18 May 1804.
France became a constitutional monarchy as a result of the French Revolution. The new constitution came into effect in 1791 but before long the struggle between radicals and moderates tore the government apart. The King was deposed in 1792 and executed. France then became a republic. The First Republic was an unstable government that faced internal insurrection and foreign invasion. The Reign of Terror saw the executions of thousands of people and widespread violence. Eventually the Republic was ended by Napoleon Bonaparte, who named himself initially First Consul and, in 1804, Emperor of France. Although the Empire had a Constitution, in practice Napoleon ruled as a dictator. Once he was deposed in 1815, the Bourbon Kings were restored, with a "compromise" constitution that limited their powers but still recognised them as rulers by Divine Right. France was then a constitutional monarchy from 1815 to 1848. King Charles X was foricbly overthrown in 1830 when he refused to share power with the legislature; his successor, Louis-Phillipe, promised to rule as a constitutional monarch. Louis-Phillipe maintained the existing monarchist constitution, but like his predecessors continually interfered with government. Eventually the French overthrew him and France became a republic once again in 1848. This Second Republic was also short-lived because its President, Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte, the heir of Napoleon I, soon proclaimed himself Emperor in 1851. Unlike Napoleon I, Napoleon III, as he was known, ruled with a legislative assembly. Napoleon III was the last monarch to rule over France. In 1871 he abdicated after France was defeated in the Franco-Prussian War, and the Third Republic was proclaimed.
Not 100% sure. However, as Napolean was born in Corsica I would have to almost be certain that his 'native' language would have been corsican. Corsican is the traditional native language of the Corsican people, and was long the sole language of the island, which was acquired by France in 1768. However, once he started school he was schooled in French.

The reason Napoleon did not stop Great Britan is because they weer on a Island and you couldn't get there on foot and it would take a long time together so when no one could take them over they had time to make a very good army that Napoleon could not take and so that's why Napoleon did not take great Brittan over.Or;He lacked an equivalent Navy for the projection of force beyond his borders.
