He ruled from 1888 until 1918- thirty years.
He never did. Bismarck was Prussia's, and then Germany's, Chancellor under Kaiser Wilhelm I. Sorry, my Germans not that good.
The Kaiser was the Emperor of Germany. During WWI he was Wilhelm II, who inherited his job when the first Kaiser, his father, died in the late 1880s. These were the only two Kaisers of Imperial Germany, because Germany was not united into the single nation of Germany until 1871. They were of the House of Hohenzollern, who before German unification were the Kings of Prussia. "Kaiser", like "Tsar" or "Czar" (who was the Emperor of Russia) are titles derived from the ancient Ceasar of Imperial Rome two thousand years ago. Wilhelm II was an unpleasant, vain, pompous man whose wild and reckless enthusiasms helped destabilize Europe in the decades before WWI. He lived on in exile in the Netherlands until 1940, long enough to see the Nazis come to power in Germany. They would have welcomed him back home for the legitimacy he would have given the Nazi regime in the eyes of many Germans, but Wilhelm despised the Nazis. Imagine, a corporal running his country! There are still Hohenzollern descendants rattling around Europe, waiting for the world to come to its senses and restore them to their rightful place lording it over everybody else.
It was Kaiser Wilhelm II (Germany) in August 1914. He wanted to assure the soldiers and the society that the war which was coming (now we know it was the WW I) wasn't going to be a long one (sadly, it didn't work that way).
She worked at Berlin's Kaiser Wilhelm Institute (1912-38), also teaching at the University of Berlin (1926-38)
He led Germany from 1933 to 1945.
No, because she was born in London. However, her direct line goes back through her father George VI to Victoria who was the last of the House of Hanover, a German principality, to sit on the throne.
Kaiser Wilhelm followed an aggressive policy of Weltpolitik which resulted in Germany attempting to be involved in every political world event as well as them offending France and Britain as they not only rearmed but threatened and challenged their colonial possession. Actions such as these resulted in both Moroccan Crises, a naval race and the Assassination of Franz Ferdinand on the 28th June 1914 to result in the involvement of Serbia's and Austro-Hungary's allies.
Hitler was the leader of Germany from 1933 to 1945.
He was leader of Germany from 1934 until his death.
Wilhelm Gustloff died in 1936.
Hitler led Germany from 1933 to 1945.
When the other states were willing to accept Wilhelm of Prussia as Emperor Wilhelm of the German Empire at their leader, unification became possible. The reunification had actually been developing over a long period of time. It realized the lesser German solution by excluding Austria.
