Erode Bypass Road or Byepass Road is a byepass road around Erode City for free movement of vehicles towards outstation. The major portion of Erode bypass covers for the stretch of NH-47 (North-Western bypass). It is not an alternatively created bypass. Unllike the other city bypasses, Erode bypass is a natural bypass formulated around the city... while implementation of NH-47, it took a route encircling the city via Chithode, Gangapuram, Nasiyanur..... This actual bypass starts from Sankagiri(21kms from Erode) and ends at Perundurai(18kms from Erode)... Since it is a lengthier bypass, only the stretch from Nasiyanur-Chithode-Bhavani is called as Erode bypass... Also there is a proposed bypass in southern side of the city in the following alignment: Perundurai-Vellode-Modakurichi-Pasur-Solasiramani-Tiruchengode(about 17kms from Erode)
