British chemist, John Newlands had the idea of arranging chemical elements in order of their relative atomic masses and he arranged his elements in columns. However, Russian chemist, Dmitri Mendeleev greatly improved on Newlands' idea and convinced other chemists to use it, so Mendeleev has been credited with the invention of the periodic tbale...but as of today we are still developing some of hte last elements....

To make study of elements easier. To classify elements.
The answer is Group 17 Halogens.
there are 108 elements. most of them are metals.
The elements that would be used to make table salt from its elements are sodium and chlorine.
118 elements.
"metals"
No they did not.
The order of the periodic table is made according to the atomic weights of the elements. The number of protons and neutrons in the nucleus make the atomic weight. Protons make the elements in order of the periodic table.
Sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl) form to make table salt.
Sodium and Chlorine
table salt is made up of 3 elements that is Sodium(Na), Chlorine(Cl) and Iodine(I).
Yes, Dmitri Mendeleev made the Periodic Table of Elements, and interestingly enough, he did it without knowing all of the natural elements! As scientists discovered new elements, they realized the elements fit right into place on Dmitri's table.
