Egypt has had many changes in government over its long history. The most recent change replaced the Presidential Dictatorship of Hosni Mubarak with the elected Presidency of Mohammed Morsi.
As of February 2013, Egypt's ruler is Mohammed Morsi and he was elected to office on June 24, 2012. This means he has been in power for about seven months.
There is no "silver bullet" type answer to this. It can be answered in many different ways by many different people. But I believe that the majority view is that the Egyptian people who took part in the Arab Spring that ousted their long time leader President Mubarak did so because they felt he was leading an oppressive regime that didn't represent the people in the Country. Therefore they decided to overthrow their current Government and wished to establish a Democracy of the people with basic human rights and social change. But when they democratically elected President Morsi they felt, after his 1st year, that he was doing the very things they were afraid he might due if he won the election. Which was to appoint a lot of Muslim Brotherhood allies to key positions as well as moving toward an Islamic state under Sharia Law or under a oppressive religiously lead regime cording to the opposition of Morsi. So instead of going through another election process, they chose to use the Egyptian Military to overthrow Morsi immediately and install a citizen government until they could put together another democratic voting process.
Mohamed lived and worked in the early 7th Century, so he came about 600 yrs after Jesus.

It flowed through Egypt as long as it was there and it still flows through Egypt.
Muhammad Hosni Sayyid Mubarak was the President of Egypt in 2008. He became the 4th President of Egypt on 1981 October 14, and was re-elected every 6 years. Mubarak eventually stepped down on 2011 February 11 amid public protests and demonstrations, turning power over to the Armed Forces.
Egypt is not currently in any state of war. The "fight" in Egypt currently is political wrangling between the Army (SCAF) led by General Tantawi and the Civilian Government led by President Morsi. The fight is over the desires of each group to impose its vision for Egypt on the country and for them to come up with a long-term power share agreement. SCAF is most worried about the possible deterioration of relations with the Israeli Army and an influx of Palestinian Paramilitary Organizations such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad. The Civilian Government, currently run by Islamists, wants to chart a new course and make Egypt a much more religious country than it previously had been.
Mohamed Ali will be remembered for a long time as a boxer who won the heavywelight title three times . And also for his talking and boasting. He was called the Lousvile lip.
