i would have to say as the former owner of two beauties that the size is one common aspect of any breed .Larger dogs die younger.Janna my blue died at 12.she survived skin cancer and ostoearthritis.Moonlight my orange died suddenly with no medical explanation.the vets couldn't find the problem.
