Actually, the parents will let their babies go after they are around 11 to 12 weeks of age. When the time comes, the parents will push the babies out of the nest and they will be on their own from that point on.

Sometimes, even if the eaglets are proficient with flying, they will return to the nest occasionally to receive food from the parents. It may take some time before they permanently leave the nest.

80 days after hatching the eaglet will fledge(fly) but will return for food for another month or two after that they leave for good
