the average amount of time is about 2 years, And it really depends how badly ur teeth are for the cost. mine is about 5,000 dollars. i had to do molding, 4 teeth extractions, and spacers, in two days im goint to get mines done. im kinda nervous. and i think, not so sure though that u tighten them about every one to two months depending on ur orthodentist. i get to change my color elastics too!!! :) But going there and the process o fall that extractions and consultations does take a long time. once u get ur braces on it will be painful, but i heard two years is the wait, and i can't wait to get themm off and having them all straight n pretty. <3
