the answer depends mainly on the students ability for producing. I have seen some friends get some great positions in studios after having done less than a year of their course (he made contacts fast) and a few others that i worked with that never studied production in a classroom environment. if you have a bad ear....its not gonna help whether or not you finish a course in college.
