Looking for advice from possibly someone that may have been in my place before.Until 3 days ago I was on MD 100mg for 12 years.I am now taking 3 tabs of suboxone(8mg) a day. I also drink alcohol daily(35+ years),I'm 47 yrs old. I also take xanax(1mg) and adderol(20mg)daily, both for last 5 years.YEA,I've got a problem.Anyway,i want to get rid of them 1 at a time. I know most would say do it all at once but I cant miss that much work as I'm sure it would take ALONG time. Thinking I know all I made the mistake of taking my first suboxone only 36 hours after my last dose of Methadon(100mg). DEFINATELY the worst w/d in my life.Feeling good then 10 min.s later puking, chills, convulsions(luckily my wife was there to help). That was yesterday(or day before)Sorry, my memorys shot from all the xanax's I've been taking.Even those wont let me sleep, and I have been taking over 10X my reg dose every few hours.Sub blocking that too? I hadnt taken my Adderall til about an hour ago and it helped me at least get up and move alittle.I'm going to drink a few beers and see if that helps. Will Sub block alcohol too? I still feel like crap, cant move much.I have plenty 8mg Suboxones, will taking more than 3 help?Shooting them?As u can tell I'm desperate. I have to go back to work tomarrow and want to know if anyone has any helpful advice(besides putting my Glock to my temple-lol)? thanks in advance
well, suboxone has about a 36 hour half life so I would say about 3 days is when you get really sick, or i did
Depending how long you been on them as long as your habit is less than a gram a day should last for 12 hours
About 30 to 45 minutes.
when you get up in the morning, your brain can trick you into thinking you need it. If you wait a couple hours after you wake up, you'll realize that you wo9n't feel as bad as you did when you woke up. Suboxone has a 36 hour half life, and I know people who literally "skip a day" once in a while. Don't let waking up fool you!
Couple hours...tops.
it doesn't show up at all unless they specifically test for it.
Wait atleast 60 hours or you will get sick....
Yes they are 8mg!
Zero, but it won't work. You need at bare minimum 24 hours to clean your system. Best to wait 48 hours for an 8mg Suboxone to do its job; which is to relieve withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Drink lots of water to clean your system as the derivative is water-soluble.
suboxone has never showed up on my drug screens.
If you have the standard 8mg Suboxone, try cutting it into quarters. Take one quarter of Suboxone and wait about one hour. If you still feel crappy, try taking another quarter. Suboxone is strong, effective stuff! I was addicted to 80-120mg of Oxycontin and one quarter of Suboxone completely melted away my withdrawal symptoms. Good luck!
From everything I've heard they last quite a while. I even had a friend tell me that they were just as bad as his withdrawls from oxy. I've read about some great taper plans that I've been meaning to try but haven't yet. Just google it and you will find a plan that may make it easier for you.
The average half-life of one 8mg Suboxone pill is about 24-33 hrs. It all depends upon the person.
It depends on several different factors: how much suboxone you took, how long have you been taking it, and if you only took a suboxone once between taking pills: how high your tolerance is to oxycodone. If you only took one dose of suboxone (between 2mg and 8mg) you should be able to feel the full effect of the OC after 24 hours. After about 12 hours you'll feel some effects, but definitely not what you would normally expect from 30mg of OC. If you've been taking Suboxone for several days in a row, it would be difficult to guage how long it will take for you to feel the full effects. Suboxone has a 36 hour half life so it builds up in your system. The longer you take it and the higher the dose, the longer it will take for it to leave your system completely.
I can answer this question from personal experience. I'm a struggling recovering opiate addict and am now prescribed to Suboxone. I'm prescribed 4mg in the morning and 4mg in the early evening, so 8mg a day. I know that if I wait for 24 hours after taking my last dose of Suboxone I can feel about 60%-70% of the oxy. If I continue to do them, the amount that I am able to feel it goes up. After the third day of being off my Suboxone I can finally feel the oxy 100%.
Take it straight to the vets & call them first to let them know what has occured. It may kill your dog.
