You are required to serve the duration of your agreed terms of service be it 2 to 6 years. When you have completed your time you are free to leave the Army or you can choose to reenlist. You are authorized to take leave when you have completed all required training to include Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training and or Airborne or Ranger Training.
