Almost anything you send to Italy will get lost or most likely stolen. There are countless stories online about items being shipped to Italy that never show up. They've got one of the worst postal services in the entire world. Which is surprising considering it's such a lovely country, but facts are facts... very few packages actually ever arrive. If you're going to send anything... you should send it registered and have insurance on the item.
