Barley is always sown in the autumn, after the "early rains," and the barley harvest, which for any given locality precedes the wheat harvest (Exo_9:31 f), begins near Jericho in April - or even March - but in the hill country of Palestine is not concluded until the end of May or beginning of June.

Answer 2:The above answer is not really correct, especially for ALL parts of the world. In North America, barley is sown in the spring, between April and May. It is then harvested right after a killing frost, which is from September to October.

From the time it is seeded to harvest, depending on the cultivar, it takes around 3 to 4 months for the cereal crop to grow and reach maturity.
