Best Answer

The amount of time it takes will depend on the amount of time put into each step and how long it takes to determine a school or community issue and come up with a solution.

The 4B's Challenge should help you determine your Silver Award Project. The 4B's hours may count towards the 40 hours needed for the Silver Award Project, but should only be a small amount of the total hours used for the project. It would be better to focus on the total amount of 40 hours needed for the 4B's and the project.

Note: the transition period for using the 4B's method of earning the Girl Scout Silver Award ends on September 30, 2011. If you won't be able to complete your Silver Award project by then, the new requirements should be used.
