Nyquil is an over-the-counter medication, meaning you do not need a prescription to obtain it. It is not illegal. No employer drug test that I know of would deny you employment for having used Nyquil (assuming you're not using it at work!). I don't even think it has components that are tested for in a standard drug test.

Drug screens don't test for the presence of Nyquil. What ingrediant in the Nyquil are you concerned about. DXM? If so, that is not tested for in a basic drug of abuse screening. Only illegal and Scheduled prescription drugs are looked for in a drug screening. DXM is over-the-counter.

I am not sure I understand your question fully but Nyquil is not tested for in a regular drug of abuse screening. Furthermore, there are no ingredients in Nyquil that would cause a drug test to come back positive for cocaine, or any drug of abuse.
