I have no idea but I just got over trichomoniasis myself. I took four pills over the span of four days, and my symptoms gradually decreased. I am still feeling slightly itchy, but the painful urination is completley gone. I'm wondering if the itchy feeling will go away or if I need treatment again.

About 2 weeks.
After taking the single-dose medication for trichomoniasis, a woman may have symptoms for a few days. She can be contagious for up to seven days after the single-dose treatment. Antibiotic resistance is increasingly common, so if you have symptoms more than a week after taking the antibiotic, abstain from sex (even with a condom) and see your health care provider for repeat testing.

Yes you can have trich STD for 30 years.
Yes you can, I have had it for at least 6 months and never knew I had it until I gotten pregnant. I noticed a foul smell and heavy discharge.
It will not lay dormant, but there may be no signs of infection as well.

Can bacterial vaginosis turn into trichomoniasis if left untreated for too long?

Bacterial vaginosis can't turn into trichomoniasis, but trichomoniasis always causes bacterial vaginosis. Many women with recurrent BV have trich and don't know it, since BV is more easily diagnosed than trich. To diagnose trichomoniasis, the health care provider must look at the vaginal discharge immediately under the microscope, or needs to use a special trichomoniasis swab.

How long can you have trichomoniasis?

Yes, it's possible for only one partner in a couple to have trichomoniasis; however, both partners should be treated, as testing is relatively insensitive. That is, you can have it without knowing, so it makes more sense for both to be treated for long-lasting cure and lack of reinfection between partners.
