if your a fast reader, about 3 1/2 hours Above is some one elses answer. I feel this is a ridiculous answer however, so I am leaving my own answer. I have read one place online that the book is about 115,000 words long, and 170,000 words long some where else. Regardless of which is correct, the average pace of a person reading is 200-250 words a minute (reading, not skiming) so say you read 225 words a minute. If the book was 115,000 words it would take you 8.5 hours to read, and if it was 170,000 words it would take about 12.5 hours.

∙ 12y agowell, Stephenie originally wrote chapter 13 confessions (the meadow scene )in a day, because that was the scene that she dreamed about. she only came back to it a few years later and then continued writing and working on it for a few months before the rough book was written.
Stephenie Meyer wrote Twilight in about three months. She got the idea for the book in a dream and quickly became fully immersed in writing the story.
