Bananas, it depends on how ripe they are when you buy them. I always try to buy them with a little green still left in the peals, this gives them a longer counter life, from 3 to 5 days. If they are all yellow, they don't have long to go. When they begin to get brown spots on the peals, They are not really bad, they just aren't as firm and tasty. Never put them in the refrigerator unless you are going to eat them the next day.
