Light travels more or less in a straight line from its source so it will never go round the earth and come back, so don`t hold your breath while you are waiting
in general i don't think we have a light that strong to go higher then the skies!!!! u would have to be on a angle to make it go around the earth. I think it would take about the range of minutes to seconds. that is my thought though . if you did have a light that power full it would take a black hole on the othere side of the earth to suck the light around the earth , because light can bend to a certain point .
It takes around 7 minutes for light to travel from Earth to Mars when they are at their closest approach, known as opposition. Therefore, for a pulse of laser light to reach Mars and return to Earth, it would take approximately 14 minutes.
One light-year is the distance light travels in one year, which is about 5.88 trillion miles. Light doesn't orbit the Earth, but if you're asking how long it takes light to travel around the Earth's circumference once, at the speed of light (about 186,282 miles per second), it would take only about 0.13 seconds.
Light travels at approximately 186,282 miles per second. The circumference of the Earth is about 24,901 miles. Therefore, it would take light approximately 0.133 seconds to travel all the way around the Earth.
One second.
The circumference of the Earth is ~24902 miles or 40,076,000 meters. This speed of light is 299,792,458 m/s. So it takes 0.134 seconds to go around the earth once.
How do THEY get back to earth?!
50,000 light years (thats long)
The Long Fall Back to Earth was created on 2009-04-21.
It takes Light 8 Minutes to get from the Sun to the Earth.
It takes about 1.28 seconds for light to travel from the moon to Earth. So if the moon were to travel at the speed of light, it would complete an orbit around the Earth in approximately 1.28 seconds.
Well it depends on what you mean. The distance for how long it takes, or the time as in how long since Earth was made. Earth as you know has been here a long long time. Stars light has been shinning towards Earth eversince it was made. To see how long it takes for a stars light to reach Earth depends on how distant and huge the star is.
