It really depends, i have been playing since i was 9 and im 14 right now and i can do good fills, beats, read music. Played in the school band, performed in 2nd brass band all on kit.
So there its not really a case of how long you have been playing, just how much you practice and push on.
Hope it made sense :L
It depends on how good of a learner you are and how good you listen. plus it depends on how much you practice or perform.
New brake drums are broken in the first time you go for a drive usually.
When you are transporting your drums it might be good with drum-cases(http://www.maxlinemusiccases.com/images/drumcases.jpg).So drum-cases are good if you don't want your drums too get scratches. And when you've got your drums array at home it would be good to clean sometimes, like dust them and polish them.
It is difficult to say for sure how long it will take to repair brakes. It is a tedious job and will usually take from 1 hour at the very least to 2 hours to remove the drums, replace the brake shoes and determine if the drums also need to replaced. If the drums need to be replaced, it can be a 3-4 hour job.
If they sound good and are easy to carry around, then it really doesn't matter what brand you get. Hope that helps. Burswood instruments (including drums) are made in Hong Kong. They are good drums for beginners, but the hardware used in manufacturing won't stand up to a lot of moving or the abuse that gigging will put on them. Better to use these as practice/ learning drums, and take the Pearls or Sonors to the stage.
any good mechanic can do a set of rear brakes in a matter of minuites, assuming your drums or rotors are in good shape and can be machined. (machining process may take 30min or so) as to price, most places have a pre set price. Tires plus for example has a preset price of 89.99, this includes pads or shoes, and machining of drums or rotors. if you need new drums or rotors, or if you need any springs or retainer bolts, this cost will rise accordingly

Nick's best at drums. And he's teaching Frankie.

Legion drums are known to be decent for those who are just starting out. A person should consider a different drum set once they have had enough practice on the Legion drums.

Yes, they are a good beginner set.
