There is not a set "length" of time for earning the Eagle Scout Rank. The Eagle Trail, as it is often referred to, begins with joining scouts. The first three ranks earned are Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class. Scouting encourages Scout units to provide a program that allows Scouts to earn these ranks in their first year of Scouting. Keep in mind that the Scout must do the work and become proficient in the required skills. It is doable in a year but may take longer. In order to continue to advance in rank, a Scout must then start to earn Merit Badges, provide Community Service, Leadership within his Troop, and continue to demonstrate conduct consistent with the Scout Oath and Law. The next ranks do require a minimum time in rank to advance. Star Scout - 4 months, Life Scout - 6 months, and Eagle - 6 months. I will post the Scouting.org official advancement requirements below this answer. Good luck to all of those on the Eagle Trail! ThirftyScout@gmail.com www.thriftyscout.blogspot.com
The minimum is about 28 months.
The requirements for the ranks of scout, tenderfoot, 2nd class and 1st class can be worked simultaneously and there is no specific time required. It is generally considered a sign of a high quality unit if many of their boys achieve 1st class status within a year. Many take longer.
Star rank requires 4 months as a 1st class scout
Life rank requires 6 months as a Star scout.
Eagle rank requires 6 months as a Life scout.
So it is possible to joint the boy Scouts at age 11, be 1st class by age 12 and earn the Eagle rank 16 months later at the age of 13 or 14, but this is not common. Usually scouts do not earn the Eagle until about age 17 or 18. They must complete the requirements prior to their 18th birthday.
Average application approval time after Board of Review is 6 weeks
Absolutely. Colleges are looking for for people who got deeply involved in their chosen activities not just joined a bunch of thing to list on the applications. they also want to know that the applicant has perseverance, a good work effort, and can set and attain long term goals. Having the Eagle shows shows these and many other qualities that colleges find attractive.
That depends on the Troop. Courts of Honor are usually scheduled about every 3 months so it should not take lomnger than that. Eagle courts of honor are often scheduled as seperate events so can be set for any time. Usually it is scheduled within 1-3 months.
There are many advantages to earning the Eagle Scout rank including the skills learned, the leadership learned, and the general demonstration to yourself and everyrone else that you can commit to a long term extraordinarily difficult task and get it doneThe main advantage to being an Eagle Scout, other than that you possess all of the above, is that people generally understand that it is a great achievement accomplished by very few. I can think of nothing esle that can be accomplished before the age of 18 that will still be listed and discussed into adulthood. You will never see "captain of the HS football team" on the resume of a 50 year old man applying to be CEO of a large corporation but if he is an Eagle Scout it will be there, it will be noted, and it will often be the difference between that guy and all the others with similar education and experience.
Bald eagles can usually soar between 5-6 hours
Long-crested Eagle was created in 1800.
If you are planning on applying to a tier one school(ivy league) then grades need to be very good as well as extracurriculars. If you apply to a tier two school (something like WPI) then leadership goes a long way, with good grades. Standardized test scores matter the most.

A bald eagle can have up to 3 babies but most don't live through the first couple years. Bald eggs usually lay 1 - 3 eggs in one brood. But the chances of all of them surviving at once is very rare. Usually 1 or at most 2 chicks survive out of a brood.
Depends on what calibre the desert eagle is.
Depends on the environment and the eagle. But usually around 6 months to 8 months.
