An easy way to figure how much time highway miles take to drive is to assume an average highway speed of 60 miles per hour. Since there are 60 minutes in an hour, then 60 miles per hour = 60 miles per 60 minutes = 1 mile per minute. When you're thinking "a mile a minute," the number of miles IS the number of minutes! So, in this example, 2 miles takes 2 minutes. Other examples: 20 miles takes 20 minutes. 200 miles takes 200 minutes (which is 3 hours and 20 minutes). How fast are you travelling though? If you're doing 120 mph, you travel twice as far than if you are doing 60. You'll go two miles in one minute if you do 120mph. But you'll have to drive to Germany first.
