The Israel Trail is a marked trail that runs the full length of Israel, from north to south. It is 590 miles/950 kilometers long, and zigzags its way from Israel's northern border with Lebanon down to the Red Sea and Eilat. The trail winds its way through Israeli towns, forests and along the coast. It takes approximately 40 to 60 days to hike the whole trail. It was inspired by America's Appalachian Trail and is marked with orange, blue and white signs pointing the direction.
Israel Long goes by Izzy.
Israelis who commute daily to work typically do so by car, bus, or (depending on the city) light-rail. Israelis who are traveling between cities typically do so by car, sheroot (shared taxis), train, and long distance buses. Between Tel Aviv and Eilat it is possible to take a short flight.
That depends on where you are when you start out. It will take you longer from Ramallah than from Bethlehem, and if you start from Eilat or Zichron Yaakov, then you may never get there at all..
