Depends on how long you were in, unless you get real busy with your life with something that can keep your mind off of it. I have heard the general "rule of thumb" is that it takes half the time you were together to get over the person.
So if you were dating a guy for 3 years, it would take 1.5 years to get over him.
I think getting over someone and falling out of love are pretty different though. You could fall out of love with someone in an instant if they did something or said something especially hurtful, against your moral values, or a "deal breaker".
