It depends on whether you efiled or mailed your return. If you efiled, you should have your refund (I assume you meant refund and not return) within two weeks at the latest. If you mailed your return, you can expect your refund within 6 weeks.
There are no set dates like the IRS has but I can tell you from experience it's typically there before the Federal Return.
If you efiled, then it should be in your account within 3 to 5 days. I always get it in 4 days.

The length of time it takes to get a Louisiana State refund from an e-filed return can vary. As of February 2014, the state stated e-filed returns may take around 21 days for processing.

No they do not take your refund from my experience, but they do take the state refund. If they do take it, you can contact the trustee and ask for it back. I was told as long as the payments were being made every pay period we were okay. Hope this helps
If you filed your tax refund by mail it will take six to eight weeks to receive your refund check. If you filed elecronically you can receive your refund in as little as 24 hours.
if it is a federal tax refund check, there is an expiration date on the check. From state, it varies. for example NC, the tax refund check is good for 6 months only. if you want to make sure the expiration date on the check, you need to contact state financial office. Best way to provent this happen to you, use direct deposit method on your tax return form.
