it could take 20-30 years
This is not government's job.
us... the government... it most probably comes out of taxes. that is why they take so long to build( the government collecting enough money for the job) and that is also why this country is in debt.
The answer depends on what the job was.
No religious test can be given as a prerequisite for a government job of any type. (Separation of church and state is the precedent for this.)
Answer Pre-Employment can take sometime, depending on the type of job you are looking for or applying for. Example. If you were applying to work at the White House sweeping the floors, there are different Government agencies who would check you out to find out if you ever had a criminal record or not and if you did have a record, for what? If the job you are applying for is not so much as a High Level Security job then your wait shouldn't be too long.
Answer If it were me, I'd take the Military research contract rather than a software company because the military job is a Government job and usually government jobs lead on to other government jobs and you may be gainfully employed for a long time. On the other hand, if you go with the software company and are not under contract, when the job is done, you may also be out looking for another job.
Depends how big it is.
yes, you can get a government job with a general discharge as long as there was no dishonorable reasons for the discharge. Sometimes you will have to explain the discharge. Try the Postal Service and USDA.
it cant:P
Every type of government job requires you to take a test. In order to work for the government, you need to be completely qualified and that requires you to pass a certain test to prove it.
They certainly have better job security.
yes as long as you you love what you do
