It takes at least 2 and a half hours from Venice to Milan, then about another hour to Como, so not less then 3 and a half hours. Visit the north of the lake for the best views.

San Mariano is in the Philippines (according to Wikipedia). There is no way you can get a train there from Venice!
Lake Como is 29 miles long. Lake Maggiore is 43 miles long. Their southern tips are about 40 miles apart, but your driving distance could vary depending on your destination.
