Give it a week and it should be alright if not hardly sprained.
Hon, It may take either 2-4 wks or months. Good Luck!Keep ice on it in diff periods of time and make sure you slowly move it back and forth so that it does not become stiff. And remember, you could always take ibeprofin or such pain relief medicines.
This depends on the the severity of the sprain. There are three different ankle sprains usually called Grade I, Grade II, and Grade III with Grade III being the worst. I had a Grade II sprain and it took a month to heal and another month before I could go back to playing soccer. A Grade I sprain usually takes a few weeks to heal, a Grade II will usually take a couple months and a Grade III can take up to 6 months or more. The most important thing is that you stay off the ankle and do the exercises so it has time to heal.
A sprained ankle can hurt enough so that walking on it is impossible. If you have a sprained ankle, apply ice to reduce swelling and stay off of it. Keep it elevated until it begins to feel better.
I was out for approx a month, mine was fairly bad but was recognised early.
it swells up and bruses with torn ligaments
the time period dependes on your bone type and how badly you sprained it.
The time to heal most fractures is about 6 to 8 weeks, but may vary somewhat depending on your age and general health.
Smoking also slows bone healing.

A sprained ankle is a tear in a ligament or tendon, not an injury to a bone.
Yes. I had to use crutches when I sprained my ankle. If you walk on it, it won't heal. And limping is fatiguing.
Even if you can't use the ankle that has been sprained, it is possible to walk using the other leg and crutches.
Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxer, and is likely to do more harm than good for a sprained ankle. It is not likely to give pain relief, either.
You can run while treating a sprained ankle but it is not recommended. Running can stop the sprain from healing properly and make it worse than it was before.
Alot of people say that is not a good idea, but I've sprained my ankle many of times and it doesn't hurt at all. But I just think it depends on how tight the boots are.

It stretches the muscles and ligaments in the ankle, and is VERY painful. It may hurt for a few minutes, or if serious can create a sprained ankle. Stay off it as much as possible, keep your shoes on, and watch out for it happening again. Once stretched, it's much more likely to happen again until it heals.
He severely sprained it
Sprained ankle.
There is no difference. A sprained ankle can also be known as an ankle sprain, twisted ankle, rolled ankle, ankle ligament injury, or ankle injury. It's when one or more ligaments are torn or partially torn where they are connected to your ankle bone.
