I had three Hammertoes fixed two on my left foot one on my right, they used pins to straighten out the toes I had them in my feet for a month. I just got the pins removed a couple of days ago and am still in surgical shoes. If you are thinking of getting this surgery know this, it is extremely painful and the healing time is intense, I couldn't walk for over a week after my surgery, I was almost bed ridden besides hobbling my way around for food and bathroom breaks, I am young and active so this surgery has been a major setback. If I could do it all over again I don't know if I would, maybe my answer will be different when they have healed completely. I'm back at work and get around with crutches and the help of my surgical shoes but just know this surgery is intense and very painful but with a good attitude anything is possible.
