"Feet" measure distance. "Square feet" measure area. Distance and area are completely different kinds of quantities, so their units don't convert. If it were possible to convert square feet into feet, then you'd be able to figure out how long a thread you need to cover a wall.

9 square feet = 1 square yard -- Floor = 24' x 18' = 432 square feet -- Ceiling = 24' x 18' = 432 square feet -- 2 walls = 24' x 9' = 216 square feet each = 432 square feet -- Other 2 walls = 18' x 9' = 162 square feet each = 324 square feet Total inside surface of the room = 1,620 square feet = 180 square yards
The length of a car is over 20 feet and the width of each car is over 8 feet. For room to walk around each car, you will need a garage size of at least 30 feet long by 24 feet wide.
2 feet wide and 300 feet long, 3 feet wide and 200 feet long. 6 feet wide and 100 feet long. 10 feet wide and 60 feet long 20 feet wide and 30 feet long. I could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on.
Fifteen feet is fifteen feet long.
1 foot wide by 600 feet long. 2 feet wide by 300 feet long. 3 feet wide by 200 feet long. 6 feet wide by 100 feet long. 10 feet wide by 60 feet long. 15 feet wide by 40 feet long. 20 feet wide by 30 feet long. These are just examples. If you hold yourself to integers, it is any combination of the factors 1x2x2x2x3x5x5. If you do not hold yourself to integer factors, the possible combinations are infinite.
