There's no definite answer to when you'll actually become pregnant, but once your period has returned to its natural rythm your chances of pregnancy are back to where they'd be if you hadn't been on the pill.
I had been on the pill for 4 years and got pregnant 3 months after not taking the pill. We weren't trying. but I also had a misscariage at 5 weeks. Allthough I can't contribute that to anything.
it is very possible to happen right away. but most likely, you should at least wait a month or two just to let your body get back into "not taking the pill" because taking the pill for 6 yrs is a long time and your body will be going threw many changes now.. so if your trying wait a few months to let your period and hormones get a feel of what it is like w-o the pill. hope i helped good luck
I was on the pill for 8 years. I stopped taking it 4 months ago because my prescription ran out. I just started the pill this past sunday. Do I risk of getting pregnant?
If you are using your birth control as directed, there should be a very small chance of getting pregnant. I'm not sure if the length of time you've been on birth control matters, but if you are inconsistent when it comes to taking/using it, the likelihood of getting pregnant increases at least a little. It really depends on your form of birth control.
Yes, because your off birth control...

A tubal ligation is a highly effective method of preventing pregnancy. Birth control pills prevent, but don't help, a woman to get pregnant. Combining tubal ligation and birth control pills is not an effective way to get pregnant.
everyone is different, some people even after using birth control for years were only off of it for 2 weeks and became pregnant, others have been off of it for a couple years and are having trouble. All in all if you are not ready for a pregnancy continue to take it.
Of course, if you are trying to get pregnant DO NOT BE ON BIRTH CONTROL!!! Now make sure the person you want to the father to be is there for you and will be there for you every step of the way, my daughter just had a baby and the babys father is no where to be found
Yes, you can get pregnant if you have had Mirena in for more than five years. Use an alternate method of birth control.

If you started the new birth control on time, starting no later than you were scheduled to start the next cycle of your old birth control, then there's no increased risk of pregnancy. If you started late, you might be at risk for pregnancy.
If you're not using any birth control, then there IS something wrong with you or your partner. Unless you're doing it wrong.
