I wanted to know too so I googled yogurt shelf life and found a food site, one of those technical ones, that said, basically, that yogurt must be refrigerated and has a shelf life of about 42 to 60 days.
Yes it does
That depends on your definition of good. The yogurt is safe to eat for a long time after the Sell By or Best By date because it does not contain any pathogens (bacteria that make you sick). The greatest risk is that yeast or mold will grow and you would either be able to see or smell their growth. As long as it tastes good to you, it is good to eat.
Yogurt can last for about a week beyond the sell by date. The sell by date is simply a suggestion but is not a definite cutoff for consumption.
