The FDA requires sunscreens to maintain optimal effectiveness for 3 years (unopened), or until the stamped expiration date, whichever is sooner. Some products are affected more by heat, so should be properly stored.

Some products indicate a longer shelf life on their labels (Banana Boat lists a shelf life of 6 years).

That all depends on the brand of sunscreen. Different brands will be meant to last for varying amounts of time. Things like sweat or water will also affect how long sunscreen is effective fore.

Two hours,,,,,A sunscreen's sun protection factor (SPF) is only fully effective for two hours after you put it on. Experts recommend carrying a bottle of SPF 30 to SPF 50 sunscreen around with you, even on cloudy or rainy summer days, so you can throw some on if the sun comes out.,,The best Sunscreen i would recommend is Santeva Brightening Sunscreen SPF 50+ ,,,,I always use it during summer time, it works perfectly for me. I probably say I use it everyday skincare routine. My skin looks better after putting on the product. I love using this product and I will always be.

How long should you wait after applying sunscreen to go in the water?

hi, sunscreens are usually tested for 80 minutes of efficacy. for example, if a company was making a SPF 15, the SPF would have to be at or above 15 at minute 1 and minute 81. most sunscreens should be reapplied every two hours, and it's about 1oz (a shot) of sunscreen you should be using for your whole body each application. have fun in the sun and be safe!
