Do you mean Danforth Avenue station in Bayonne? That is the only Danforth station in NJ.
That is on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail line (HBLR) and does not go into NYC.
Take the HBLR to the Pavonia/Newport station (across from the Newport Center Mall (about 18 minutes). Fare $1.90.
At Pavonia, walk thru the passageway out to Washington Blvd, cross over to the other side and take a 33rd St bound PATH train to 33rd St/6th Avenue (about 15 minutes). That will leave you one block from NY Penn station (33rd St/7th Avenue). Fare $1.75
Penn Station New York City.
You take the LIRR (Long Island Railroad) from New York Penn Station to Ronkonkoma. See the Related Link below for LIRR schedules and fares.
From JFK, take the "Air Train" to Jamaica Station. There, you can catch the LIRR (Long Island Railroad) into Penn Station in Manhattan. From Penn Station, you can catch an Amtrak train upstate to Albany.
It will take an estimated 16 minutes to get from Penn Station, New York to LGA airport. There are 9.43 miles between the two places.
The LIRR (Long Island Railroad) stops at Freeport. It would be a shorter trip if you could board the train at the Hunterspoint Station in Queens, but I guess the LIRR does not run from Hunterspoint to Freeport, because when I entered it into the schedule finder, it said that, "This station combination is invalid." So I guess you have to start out from Penn Station. For subway directions to Penn Station, please ask another question, i.e., "How do you get from [insert address here] in Brooklyn to Penn Station?" See the Related Link below for schedules and fares for the LIRR.
It takes about 12 to 25 minutes, depending on how long you have to wait for the trains.
The going rate for parking at the garage at Penn Station is a max of $12 per day. The monthly rate is $200 but there is a long waiting list. I have found private business offered outside parking within a couple of blocks of Penn Station around $125 monthly. There's also a 24/7 public parking garage across the street from Mt. Royal Station at The Fitzgerald. While not as close as the Penn Station garage, it has the same $12 max daily rate & it's monthly rate is only $130.
You can take the LIRR (Long Island Railroad) from Penn Station to Greenport. From the Greenport Station, you can take a taxi to the North Ferry, and take the North Ferry to Shelter Island. See the Related Links below for information about the LIRR and the North Ferry.
Probably around $14-15
It takes about 2 hours and 35 minutes to travel on a regular Northeast Regional train from New York's Penn Station to Baltimore's Penn Station. You will save 15 to 20 minutes by taking an Acela Express train.
It's about a 15 to 20-minute ride on the Downtown 1 train.
