Mary was going to marry Joseph. Before she did however, the Holy Spirit (God), somehow miraculously, made her pregnant with Jesus. At that time she had still never been with a man sexually. Eventually, Joseph married her, but God was still Jesus's father and not Joseph because Mary stayed a virgin even after she was married and until Jesus was born.
If you are referring to the Joseph that was married to Mary, he had a three-fold decision. 1. Denounce Mary as adulator and she would have been stoned. 2. Move somewhere else and quietly divorce her. 3. Stay married to her and become the earthly father to Jesus. He chose 3.
The Virgin Mary became pregnant with Jesus, before Joseph had married her! So she hadn't had any intimate relations with Jospeh. But she became preganant through the Holy Spirit; who had been sent by God to impregnate Mary.
According to the bible, Jesus is the son of God. He doesn't have a stepfather. Unless Mary married someone else then that man would be a stepfather, but Jesus has his "dad" Joseph. Its very confusing but no, Jesus does not have a step dad
The gospels are entirely silent on Joseph's age. Some Christians, particularly some Catholics, are concerned at the possibility that Mary did not remain a virgin throughout her married life, yet the gospels talk of Jesus having brothers and sisters. One solution that was developed was to envisage Joseph as an older man who had already been married and already had children. It seems rather unlikely that a poor and older carpenter would have been a suitable husband for a young virgin girl, but this view does allow him to be in his thirties or forties at the time Jesus was born.
In the scriptures we read " Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused (Married) to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost". Joseph had not been with his wife (Had not touched her) since they were married. It was up to the angel to tell Joseph that Mary was to give birth to a special child who would be the savior of mankind. Joseph believed in what the angel had told him, so he took his wife away so that she might give birth privatly. He adopted Jesus as his own son and brought him up as such because he was given to him by the God.
To the best of our knowledge, Mary was the first wife of Joseph. If he had been previously married, there is nothing in either scripture nor tradition to confirm this.
Jesse's wife is a kilogram of buffalo CRAP. He like fingering, and sticking his penis into it. The have been married 4 quiet a while now.
Jesus' earthly Father and Mother were Joseph and Mary, but God in heaven is is true, awesome, and heavenly FatherIt depends on how you view it.One point of view could be God and Mary. But, when Jesus was born, his "parents" were Joseph and Mary.
Saint Joseph was the husband of Mother Mary and the Earthly father of Jesus Christ. I have been told that if you pray to Saint Joseph when you have lost something, that soon you will find that item. That was told to me by a Catholic.
No , Joseph married Mary . If it would have been known that she was pregnant she would have been stoned.
The bible makes it clear (Matthew 1:18-24) that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and that Mary was a virgin and had not known a man. Jesus was the Son of God, and so Joseph could not have been the father of Jesus.
