The late Clarence Clemons backed up Ronnie and revived (Ronettes) Belinda Carlisle and Grace Slick- in the l987 Latin Quarter Concert- It is funny but the size differential between Ronnie and Mr. Clemons is played up with stage antics- back to back- his wailing sax and her, well vibrato. There are rumors that Stan Goetz may have been involved when the Ronettes were in their prime. They were NOT instrumentalists and in fact, could not read music.
