Horse drawn vehicles have been thought to have been present all throughout human history, sometimes refered to as Carriages. The same is true of "Kings." Both have a history long predating the 1500's.
Boats are believed to have been invented before horse-drawn carriages. The earliest evidence of boats dates back to around 10,000 BCE, while horse-drawn carriages emerged later, around 2000 BCE. Boats were likely developed as a means of transportation over water, while carriages were created for land travel, marking different advancements in transportation technology.

Carriages were bad because they were very uncomfortable to travel in because of how bad the roads were. Also they often got stuck for a long time because of the bad conditions of the roads. This meant travelling in them was long and uncomfortable.

We would have a lot of horses and carriages around. Civilization wouldn't have expanded as fast and railroads and airplanes would be the main form of long distance travels.
The carriages started to run in different directions due to a malfunction in the control system that managed their routes. This could have been caused by a technical glitch or a failure in communication between the central control and the individual carriages. Additionally, the situation may have been exacerbated by external factors, such as obstacles on the tracks or changes in passenger demand that prompted a re-routing. As a result, the carriages became disjointed from their intended paths.
