Praying Mantises or Praying Manti. Or praying mantids :)
For what i know praying mantises are not deadly at all. They would not need venom to kill because they catch there prey in an iron grip so they can't get away. Then they kill them. From what i know is praying mantises are not deadly not deadly to large things such as a human, unless its 6 foot long, which is impossible.
They are green with very long legs, and a small head. They are known for rubbing their 2 front legs together; making them seem to be praying (hence the name).
It's where the insects undergo a main change
No, female praying mantises engage in sexual cannibalism. They bite off the male's heads during copulation and that often causes the sperm to disseminate more vigorously, therefore benefiting the survival of the species.
There are several categories of mantises, macropterous (long-winged), brachypterous (short-winged), micropterous (vestigial-winged), or apterous (wingless). For those with wings, there are two sets, the outer wings that serve as camouflage and shield for the hind wings, which are more delicate.

It seems you're asking what a baby mantis eats. Most species of baby mantises will eat gnats, small flies and moths. However, the mantis MUST be comfortable in the environment. Provide it with soil, grass, and some twigs (preferably large) and put them diagonal in the cage you provided it.
Praying mantises (mantodea or mantes) is an order of insects with over 2,400 species in 15 families worldwide. The largest family is Mantidae.
