A business day is one day, but it refers to only the days from Monday to Friday. So if you did something on a Thursday that was going to take 3 business days after that to be processed, you would have Friday, Monday and Tuesday as those 3 days.

According to wikkipedia.com, business days are classified as Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for shipping purposes.
