The best place in Oregon to hunt Roosevelt elk is the north coast, it's got the best numbers but it also has the higher number of Hunters. The middle of the coast has good numbers as well and the hunting pressure is slightly less than the north coast, but it is difficult to hunt because of the density of the forest. As for the southern coast I haven't hunted there but I here it has good hunting, but I think it is more private land.

There is a lot of wildlife, but the restrictions on what you can and can't hunt and how often are much stricter in Oregon compared to other states. There are a lot of deer and Elk in the cascades, and plenty of turkey, grouse, pheasant and duck. Seasons are short though, so if you hunt in Oregon, you have to plan in advance.
