As of 2013, a ten year Mexican passport costs $136.00 USD. A Mexican passport that expires after six years costs only $101.00 USD. Obtaining a 10 year passport would be a more economical purchase.

If you have all the required documents, you can receive the passport the same day, although you will have to wait several hours. The cost was about $110 for a passport that lasts five years.
